Objectives, activities and expected results

Recovery and adaptation of the old Covered Quay of Marvão-Beirã Station, for the reception of tourists and a small bar; Railbikes collection point;

Acquisition of railbikes to circulate on the platform and superstructure of the railway track on the Cáceres branch line (between km 223.421 and km 238.872);

To provide tourist entertainment activities that contribute to increase the number of tourists in Beirã, Marvão and Alto Alentejo region, as well as to increase the length of stay in local accommodation;

To enhance the natural heritage and endogenous resources of the region; to allow the discovery of the Serra de S. Mamede Natural Park;

To provide leisure experiences that value the environment, quality of life and tranquillity;

Contribute to the qualification of the tourism offer and to the notoriety and attractiveness of the Alto Alentejo destination.
